So far this week:

CWTS: Match-Ups 1-1 0.00
NWS : Match-Ups 2-0 +1.13

This is literally anyone's race. Just look at the CWTS, NWS and the Duels where Chad Fontaine, Landon Cassill and Brian Keselowski all had shots to win their respective races.

So for today I'm looking at the teams that have EGR power and stable plate racing backgrounds. The EGR engines seem to have performed a tick better with RCR leading the way.

Match-Ups

1.00 unit Kevin Harvick (-130) over Kyle Busch (@5dimes)
Defending 500 champ looks to me to be the favorite today. Starts 7th, ran 3rd in his qual. race and has the best avg. finish among active drivers the last 10 races at Daytona...and backed by EGR power.
I think Kyle will have a huge turn around from 2010 and one of my favorites for this year but don't think he has enough for RCR today.

1.00 unit Tony Stewart (-125) over Denny Hamlin (@5dimes)
While I think Smoke is definitely Top 5 material this is more of a play against Hamlin. Just not sure where his head is at right now. This team has been a little bizarre since Phoenix last year.

1.00 unit Matt Kenseth (-115)over Greg Biffle (@beted)
Roush has made some positive steps during speedweeks and I think Kenseth is their best driver at Daytona. His results have been better in nearly every event and practice in comparison to Biffle and has beaten him head-to-head in 4 of the last 5 at Daytona

1.00 unit Clint Bowyer (-135) over Jimmie Johnson (@5dimes)
Bowyer has looked really good. Ran 2nd in his qualifying race and has been at or near the top in all practice sessions. Has two Top 4 finishes in last four races here.
While JJ, outside of running 2nd in the 400 in 2009, hasn't had any success (or luck) here in awhile (has finished 23rd or worse in 5 of last 6)

1.00 unit Jamie McMurray (-125) over Denny Hamlin (@5dimes)
Jamie Mac has really showed his prowess on the plate tracks the last few years with 2 wins at Daytona and another at Talladega (along with a 2nd place finish).
Another driver backed by EGR should be strong today......and its another play against Hamlin

Props/FP

1.00 unit Denny Hamlin (-115) to finish over 14.5 (@5dimes)

Outrights

0.40 unit Kevin Harvick (+900) @5imes
No back to back 500 winner since the mid-90's (my boy Sterling Marlin) but Happy has a shot

0.30 Kurt Busch (+1100) @beted
Would like him better but he has not shown the ability (for some reason) to be a pusher in the "lovebug" draft, but watch out if has help from behind

0.25 Clint Bowyer (+1300) @beted
0.25 Jeff Burton (+1300) @beted
Really like RCR today

Good Luck!

RCR could have 3 of the top 5 spots today. BOL.

Just wanted to see what you thought about my leans from Bodog.

Matt Kenseth #17 -120 over Greg Biffle #16 -110.
Biffle just does not drive well in the Great American Race.

Jeff Burton #31 -105 over Clint Bowyer #33 -125.
Burton just does not wreck that often. Run the race 10 times and I strongly believe Bowyer will wreck 2 more times than Burtan.

Good luck.

awesome race...i know most of the drivers don't like being pushed around all day but i personally enjoyed this a lot more than the usual pack racing....one of the best races at Daytona in awhile

as for Sunday's race:

4-1 +2.70 units (Match-Ups)
1-0 +1.00 unit (Props/FP)
0-4 -1.20 units (Outrights)

Total: +2.50 units

Not a monster day but coming out of Daytona on the plus side is big...after that disaster of a second half of last year
